Pick: Under Result: 2:3 Stake: 5/10 Odds: 1.80 Bookmaker: BWin vCash: No Posted: Nov 07, 2006, 12:05
My bet for today will be Braunschweig - Unterhaching Under 2.5 goals.
Odds around 1.80are tempting, and regarding the current situation of both teams it*s a must take bet.
Both teams are really crap this season. I even rate Haching a little bit stronger today ,as they play not bad away from home comparing to their boring and terrible performances at home.
The result is that only 1500fans are still coming to their home games. Compare this to 25000in Karlsruhe, and up to 40000in Köln and Munich and you*ll se the difference.
Both coaches emphasized that the fans today should be patient ,as they won*t risk an early goal by the opponents.
They forcasted a rude and boring match with hard fouls and fighting.
Unterhaching Captain Stefan Buck problably won*t play. Tobias Schweinsteiger has still flu for Braunschweig.
But imo absences are not the most important fact tonight. Two teams from the bottom of the table will play eachother and I really cannot see more than 2goals tonight.
If i*m wrong the game won*t end 2:1 or 1:2 , but with a crazy result like 3:3 oder 4:3.
Straight wins are unpredictable today, and the Under will be my bet.

Pick: Karlsruhe + 0.5 Result: 1:1 Stake: 5/10 Odds: 1.99 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: No Posted: Oct 15, 2006, 18:53
Köln will play against KSC.
My prediction won't be very long, as there are no relevant new news and rumors concerning this game.
When I saw odds on KSC win last week they were around 4.30.
My first thought was..what insane odds, knowing that Köln will still miss Patrick Helmes and KSC will play with their best offense available.
Odds haven't changed significally and team news didn't suprise me. KSC will travel with their strongest squad possible.
2 great strikers, Freis and Kaplani, probably the best offensive middlefielder in this league Federico, experienced players like Carnell, Aduobe, youngster Eggiman in the Defensive and Miller(along with Schober the best keeper in 2nd Bundesliga).
Of course they will play without Kies, who got injured and provoked a penalty last game, but Florian Dick will be a nearly equal substitute for this match.
Now let's go to the opponents, Köln. IMO they aren't the same team anymore without Helmes, who scored 7 out of their 14goals this season.
They still have a great squad, but without their star odds around 1.80on Köln are ridiculous.
Of course they have strikers like Scherz and other valuable players like Gambino, but without Helmes KSC will give them a hard time.
Don't misunderstand me, KSC won't trash them, Köln is still almighty at home but will Kölns defence handle 2strikers + Federico?
Federico was former player in Köln, where they didn't need him anymore. So he went to KSC and from there on his career boosted till today. In an interview in Karlsruhe he said that he wanted revenge...and that he will show the revenge on the pitch:-)
All in all, I see nearly equal squads and cannot miss the great odds on KSC + 0,5 @ 1.99
I won't stake too much, as I rather want to enjoy the game tomorrow live on TV as fan and not as gambler.
Moreover, I would have played the over, but odds around 1,65 are not tempting. If you find odds around 1.80 in other bookies, take it.
Both teams are on fire concerning goals.
Köln shot 10goals in 3 home games, KSC 7 in 3 away games. Both only have conceded 2goals regarding this statistic.
Tomorrow will be the first time ever that fans in Karlsruhe can watch the game on public viewing in the centre of the city.
I regret that I'm currently living on Mallorca ,and not in Cologne or Karlsruhe, but this innovation with the public viewing reflects the great atmosphere in Karlsruhe.
i hope this preview was intresting, the game will be transmitted like every monday, 19:15 GMT on German DSF.
